Stayed in the larger of the 3 lodges this weekend and it was blissful. So cosy and warm in the freezing weather with beautiful view over the lake. The hot tub is great and stayed so hot! A weekend of peace and quite to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. You have a little gem here Jo x

What a magical place! From arriving at Kingfisher Lakes we knew we’d found a gem of a place! Everything is absolutely immaculate and attention to detail just fabulous…and Jo is the most genuine and super helpful host you could wish for!!
We stayed in a yurt and it was just gorgeous! Beautiful bedding, fairy lights, private outdoor space and access to the lake and our kayak just a few steps away! Our favourite day was the day we didn’t leave the site, that says it all. Perfect!

Jo, what an amazing host nothing is too much trouble. A very special welcome when you arrive, with a guided tour of your accommodation and site. Willow Lodge was idyllic. Positioned on the first lake. Enter through your own private gate and turn to see a pretty wooded lodge with its own hot tub (wood fuel supplied). Inside is beautifully laid out, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Small fridge with freezer compartment, two electric rings, hot powerful shower in a modern bathroom. All cutlery and crockery are supplied. Kettle, pans and toaster are all on hand. The decking with table and chairs are ideal for sitting out and taking in the wonderful sounds of the countryside you are surrounded in. Activities include kayaking and fishing at an extra cost and licence required for fishing. Willow Lodge was exactly what we required. Jo has made this site a truly unique experience. Each and every review reflects this and rightly so.

Wow! I went with my dad, brother and son. My dad fished the lake and loved it.
We had such an amazing time. It's difficult to put into words what we loved. There is a kitchen with clean pots and tables to eat at. Inside the accommodation there is a fridge and kettle. They have proper beds which are super comfy and snuggly quilts. The showers and toilets were immaculate everyday.
You can kayak on the lake and there are activities nearby which we used.
We loved the fire pit on an evening to toast marshmallows.
Plenty of space to kick a football about without getting on your neighbours nerves 🤣.
The host was 10/10. So lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. Just perfect.
We will definitely be returning next year. 💙
Nearby activities: Loads of nearby activities. We went and played foot golf and had ice cream there. They also do crazy golf. Hornsea isn't far away if you want to go to the seaside.
Food & drinks: Plenty of food places right outside. We used the fish shop which was really lovely and we had a Chinese one night which we all enjoyed around our fire 🔥

This is a fantastic space to feel like you are a million miles from anywhere but the best bit is you aren't far at all from loads of fun things to do.
Our tent was immaculate and brilliantly decorated. The host was lovely and she welcomed us and showed us around but left us to enjoy our family time. So lovely we are booking again soon!

We stayed in Otters Den glamping tent for 3 nights. Exceptionally clean facilities, comfy beds, and the most beautiful view over a lake. I learned to kayak on the lake with my granddaughter, the best of memories.|We only live 7 miles away but this felt like a complete break. Thank you Jo and the team.

Just back from a fantastic 2 night stay in Willow Lodge. It was idyllic, private and very clean. Was lovely to wake up to see the swans on the lake early morning- really peaceful place. We had everything we could possibly need it was perfect. Hot tub was fantastic too. Had a look in the Safari tents and Yurts, they looked fabulous and the shared cooking area has everything you could think of if you were staying in those. The attention to detail here is amazing. Jo was brilliant and friendly, recommending a few places for us to try. It’s in a great location - we walked to the village on the public bridleway which was a nice and easy 30 min walk but it’s also an easy drive to the coast only takes about 15-20 mins. Missing the peace already and we will definitely be back. Thanks Jo and family for a great stay.

my partner & I celebrated our 3 year anniversary at Kingfisher and it was truly special. we had such a greeting from Jo, who was lovely and answered any questions we had. The lodge itself was beautiful, there was everything you could possibly need and more! Very private and secluded which was exactly what we wanted, the view you have when waking up is just fab. of course hot tub was perfect after we got the hang of it! We loved the attention to detail in these lodges which makes it so cosy and gives home away from home feeling. The addition of “Happy Anniversary” balloons around our room and petals on the bed were a lovely touch too. Please don’t hesitate to book Kingfisher lakes, Jo & the family are lovely and you won’t regret it❤️
